SolidWorks Error

Errors:

• "The system is not presently configured to run this application"
• General download errors

Error: "The system is not presently configured to run this application"

When using or exiting SolidWorks a "the system is not presently configured to run this application" error appears, a repair of the Access Database Engine x64 is needed.

1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255
2. Click on the Download button
   
   
   
   
3. Choose the 2nd option: AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe
   
   
   
   
4. Click the up arrow and choose Open.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Yes
6. Choose Reinstall or Repair
   
   
   
   
7. Click Install at the bottom of the Setup window
   
   
8. Click OK

SolidWorks will not run and exit without displaying the error.

Error: General Download Errors

When downloading SolidWorks and it reports there is a downloading problem towards the final files. A manual download through SolidWorks web page can be chosen to complete the final steps.

1.    Select Download files individually in a Web browser and go through the link provided afterwards.
   
   
   
   
   
2. In the Web browser, click the download button to download the necessary files individually.
3. Drag the completed downloads from the downloads folder into the SolidWorks folder directed to by the same Web browser.
4. Once inserted into the SolidWorks 2023 folder, go back to the SolidWorks Installation Manager and click Next to complete the download. It should resume downloading and proceed into the Installation phase.
