PaperCut Printing (Windows): Removing and Installing Printers for Faculty/Staff

How to remove or install the Papercut printers.

Admin By Request

Request admin access using Admin by Request. See Admin by Request (Windows): Requesting Admin Access

Remove A Printer

  1. Open the Start menu and go to Settings

  2. Select Bluetooth & devices

  3. Select Printers & scanners

  4. Select the printer you are looking to remove.

  5. Select Remove.

Install a Printer

  1. Enable ABR (Admin By Request)
  2. Right click Start
  3. Select Run
  4. Type into the Run prompt \\

    start run menu

  5. Click OK
  6. Right click the printer you’d like to install and select Connect 
  7. NOTE: if this is the first PaperCut printer you are installing, it may take up to a minute before any prompts appear after clicking Connect.

  8. If you do not already have the driver installed, you will see a pop up with the title “Do you trust this printer?”. Click Install driver.

  9. Click Yes to the next prompt.

  10. Installation is complete.
