Scheduling a Teams meeting in SORH 205
How to schedule a Teams meeting incorporating the Teams profile of SORH 205 and the equipment in the room
During Winterm 2024–2025, Sorensen Hall 205 (SORH 205) was upgraded to support in-person and hybrid Microsoft Teams meetings. The room now allows you to host Teams meetings directly through the room's presentation system, no laptop needed.
Starting Fall 2025:
- SORH 205 will serve as both a classroom and meeting space.
- It will be managed through the EMS reservation system.
- Note: If you need a Teams meeting, you must schedule that separately from the EMS reservation.
- Until EMS setup is complete, see the KB article: "How to schedule the room SORH 205 (not for Teams)" for instructions.

Hosting a Teams Meeting in SORH 205 – Key Tips
- In the calendar meeting, add “SORH 205” as a required participant or co-organizer, NOT as the location.
- Do NOT add "sorh205-members@uwstout.edu", as this is a mailing list.
- Teams will want to auto-populate the Location field with“SORH 205”, delete it before saving.
- This will happen if you edit the meeting, so be sure to delete it from the Location field each time you open the meeting.
- Be sure that an Organizer or Co-Organizer will be present in the room at the time of the meeting—LIT/LTS staff cannot manage meeting settings.
- Modify meeting settings in advance. Many changes cannot be made once the meeting is created.
