SolidWorks: Clean Uninstall

Completely uninstall a previous version of SolidWorks to install a newer version
  1. Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
    1. Or search "Add or Remove Programs" in the search bar
  2. In the Installed Apps window, search "SolidWorks"

  3. Select "SOLIDWORKS 20XX SPXX" > Uninstall
  4. In the Summary popup, select Change

  5. Check all the boxes and click Back to Summary

  6. Make sure Uninstall Method on the bottom says "Complete Uninstall"
  7. Click Remove Items
  8. Follow the prompts to uninstall SolidWorks

SolidWorks Components

  1. In the Installed Apps window, select "CEF for SOLIDWORKS Applications"

  2. Follow the prompts to uninstall component
  3. Repeat 1-2 for the following:
    1. "3DEXPERIENCE Exchange ..."
    2. "3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace ..."
    3. "Microsoft SQL Server 20XX (64-bit)" (SolidWorks 2023 Only)
      1. When prompted, remove all features
