Sony Monitor Pro Mode

[in progress] Guide to configuring the Pro Mode settings of a Sony Monitor

To leave Pro Mode:

On the remote: [Display] --> [Mute] --> [Volume Up] --> [Home]

The display will restart, and return to regular mode where monitor system settings and pro mode restrictions can be configured.

Administrators can switch modes; Case 1. From 'Pro settings mode' to 'Pro mode' by selecting 'Start Pro mode' in Pro settings menu, Case 2. From 'Pro settings mode' to 'Normal mode' by 'Pro mode tool'. To mode can be exited using the remote key combo.

Options configurable with Pro Mode settings:

  • Power on by HDMI plug-in
  • Behavior of the "Home" key
  • Fixed Input Sources
  • Maximum volume adjustment
  • Start-up Applications
  • Remote power on/off control
  • Fixed display settings

The settings app is also restricted to users while the monitor is in Pro mode, and will display an "application unavailable" toast message.
