Instructions on how to use the monitors and speakers in APPA 221

How To Connect to the System

Video and Sound

  1. The screen will be asleep. Touch anywhere on the screen to wake it up.

  2. When the screen is woken up, a welcome page will appear. Touch anywhere on the screen to proceed.

  3. Connect your laptop using the provided HDMI cable or AirMedia Puck. Select your desired source and turn on the monitors using the "Turn On Monitor" button. Volume controls can be found on the left side. On the right, "Mute Monitor" will hide/unhide the screen, "Turn On Monitor" will turn on/off the monitors, and System Off will take you to the page to turn off the system.

  4. After pressing "System Off," you will be taken to another page. Selecting "Yes" will shut the system down. Selecting "No" will send you back to the main menu.

Sound Only

You DO NOT need to turn on the monitors if you intend on only playing audio.

  1. Plug the puck into a DisplayPort Alt mode compatible USB-C port on your device. It should work just like a docking station.  
    Puck plugged into the USB-C port of a laptop.
  2. Play the audio from your laptop, and the speakers will play.
