Jamf Connect keeps your Microsoft 365 and Mac password in sync

Jamf Connect is an application that keeps your Microsoft 365 password (the one you use for signing into email and many UW-Stout resources) in sync with the password on your Mac.  It will be installed on all reimaged and newly purchased faculty and staff Macs starting September 23, 2026  Existing faculty and staff Macs will receive Jamf Connect in the following weeks, with more communications to come.

Jamf Connect will display this message on your screen if it detects that your passwords are out of sync:

We detected that your work account password has changed. Your Mac is still using your old password. Enter your previous work account password below so your Mac can update and stay in sync with your current password.

Also, the login screen on your Mac will now use a Microsoft Login, like many of our other applications and websites.

Also, the Self Service Plus Icon in your menu bar will have additional options, including resetting your password.
