Flex Printing - Enable Stapling and Other Printer Features
This article explains how to install the correct printer drivers to enable additional printer features such as stapling.
Before You Begin
- Before installing the printer drivers for features please enable Admin by Request. See Admin by Request (Windows): Requesting Admin Access
- Please make sure that you on the EDUROAM Wifi. You will not be able to access the list of printers if you are not on the EDUROAM wifi.
Windows
- Enable ABR (Admin By Request)
- Right click The Windows Icon at the bottom of your screen to bring up a list menu.
- Select Run to open the Run prompt menu.
- Type into the Run prompt \\pcweb.uwstout.edu
- Click OK which will bring up the list of printers.
- Find and right click the printer you’d like to install and select Connect
- NOTE: if this is the first printer you are installing, it may take up to a minute before any prompts appear after clicking Connect.
- If you do not already have the driver installed, you will see a pop up with the title “Do you trust this printer?”. Click Install driver.
- Click Yes to the next prompt.
- Installation is complete and now when you print you will be shown more options
Mac Install
- Open Self Service
- Select Printers
- Locate the printer you’re looking to install and click Install.
- Wait for install to complete.
Once the install is complete, you should be able to start printing with additional features.
