Faculty and staff-issued, campus-owned (c-numbered) computers generally do not have accidental damage coverage purchased for them. In the event of an incident of accidental damage, LIT will facilitate the process of obtaining an estimate from HP or Apple for computers with warranty remaining to be approved by the department. Departmental business managers will be listed as the contact for estimates to facilitate payment to HP or Apple in the event that the repair is deemed financially viable. In some cases, a department requisition may be requested prior to the repair.

LIT does not perform or facilitate repairs on devices out-of-warranty.
