Completed: Scheduled Network Outage Saturday, July 31st

To better protect UW-Stout’s network and IT resources, the university installed a new firewall on Saturday, July 31st. There was a scheduled outage from 4:00 am-10:00 am while technicians and consultants added the firewall to our network and performed follow-up testing. During this window, there was no network connectivity for campus resources. This included accessing the internet from buildings on campus, as well as accessing resources located in the campus data center.
The installation of the firewall has been completed. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this outage as we worked to ensure the security of the campus network.
