Scheduled Campus Network Outage

On Friday, August 22nd, from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM, UW-Stout will be performing a major upgrade to our core network infrastructure
This work is part of our ongoing efforts to improve speed, reliability, and security of campus-wide internet and technology services.
What Services Will Be Affected on Campus?
During this time, all campus technology services will be temporarily unavailable from on-campus locations, including:
- Internet access (wired and wireless)
- Campus Wi-Fi
- VPN and remote desktop connections
- Printing
- Phone services (VoIP)
What Will Be Accessible from Off-Campus?
If you are working from home or another off-campus location at this time, some services will remain accessible, including:
- Email and Microsoft Teams
- Canvas
- Office 365 applications
- My Apps Portal
- Workday
- Access Stout
- External websites and cloud-based tools
However, any service that requires a connection to the UW-Stout network (such as VPN, remote desktop, or access to shared drives) will be unavailable during the maintenance window.
