New password requirements for faculty and staff

Beginning August 23rd faculty and staff will be required to reset their password every 180 days and create 10-character passwords. Affected users will be prompted to reset their passwords during login.
In response to a UW-System Grading Data Security audit, the password expiration for all faculty and staff will be adjusted to 180 days unless already subject to a more restrictive expiration. This change will be made on August 23 and will require all faculty and staff members with a password older than 180 days to immediately change their password. When creating a new password there will also be a new requirement that the password be a minimum of 10 characters.
