Technical difficulties during transfer of website domain

On Feb.1, the university's domain www.uwstout.edu was transferred to the new website. During the transfer, the university experienced technical difficulties on the new website's cloud host. A series of broken redirects to pages still on the old website resulted in users receiving a 404 Page Not Found error. While most redirects back to the old website have been fixed, the web team is continuing to resolve all broken redirects. If your department finds or is informed of a 404 Page Not Found error...
...please notify webmaster@uwstout.edu and take the following action to temporarily resolve the error:
- Add "cs" to "www" in the page URL address. For example, if the page address is "http://www.uwstout.edu/dept/index.cfm" change it to http://wwwcs.uwstout.edu/dept/iundex.cfm. This will redirect the page to the old website at http://wwwcs.uwstout.edu.
- Email webmaster@uwstout.edu to report the 404 Page Not Found error for the page "http://www.uwstout.edu/dept/index.cfm.” Include the page URL in the email. The webmaster team will update the redirect for the page and any of its subpages.
The web team apologizes for any inconvenience this technical difficulty may have caused staff, students or clients.
