Instructions on how to download Flip videos before they are deleted

*The Flip website and mobile app will be retired by September 30th, 2024. Flip entered View-Only mode on July 1st. Any videos from Flip that you want to be saved must be downloaded by September 30th. Videos with similar Flip features can be recorded with Teams Class Assignments. Please view Flip's FAQ page for more information. Reach out to your IT Consultant if you have questions.*

Educator Sign Up

Flip is available by using an Educator Login. To use Flip with your classes, click Sign Up, then choose the option to Sign up with Microsoft. Login using your Stout email address and password.

Setting up your Group

When setting up your Group, you will need to set it up using Email address or domain and then add the UW-Stout domains @uwstout.edu and @my.uwstout.edu.

  1. Click on + Group, name your group, and choose your background. Click Create.

  2.  You will then be in the Share group window; click Email address or domain.

  3. Add the Stout domains: @uwstout.edu and @my.uwstout.edu. Click Confirm.

  4.  Now you can create your content and students will have access.

There are sample activities pre-loaded into your group to test the capabilities of Flip before creating course specific activities for your students.
