While there are several ways you can change your account password, this method is the one we recommend for Mac Users.

For best results, do this while on campus and  connected to the UW-Stout campus network (either wired or wireless.)

1.  Choose Apple menu ,  then System Settings, then click Users & Groups in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
2.  Click the Info Button next to your user name on the right.
3.  Click Change.
4.  Enter your current password in the Old Password field.
5.  Enter your new password in the New Password Field, then enter it again in the Verify field.
6.  If desired, enter a hint in the Password Hint field.
7.  Click Change Password.
8.  Restart your Mac.  It's a good practice to restart so changes can be applied.
