Campus Calendar: Review Edit via Personal Dashboard

How to review or edit an event in UW-Stout Event page using the Localist platform.

Event Review and/or  Edit

  1. Browse to https://events.uwstout.edu/
  2. On the top of the screen, Click the Login in the white space.
  3. On the top right of the screen by the "user icon" click on the arrow. Click Dashboard from the drop down menu.
  4. This is the events dashboard. Scroll down the screen to the Activity Feed. There are two options to see the event you want to review or edit. Events I'm Organizing and Pending Events. Click on the title of the event you want to review or edit.
  5. You can review your event in this window. If you want to edit the details of the event, scroll to the Event Tools area, Click in the Edit Event.
  6. The form  "Adding an Event" with the details that were originally entered will appear. 
  7. To delete this event, scroll to the bottom of the form. Click Delete. Note: This will remove this event completely from the events calendar. Note: If you are canceling an event, it is recommended to edit the Status to cancel. This will leave the event on the calendar for the audience to know it is canceled. 
  8. To cancel an event and have it display as canceled, follow the instructions to edit the Status.
  9. Edit the following areas Main Info, DESCRIPTION REQUIRED, Click in the "text box" to type over and enter new or additional information.
  10. To edit Status, Click in the "text box" to use the drop down options. Note: If you click Cancel, you may want to edit the DESCRIPTION REQUIRED by adding the word "Canceled" at the beginning of the description. 
  11. To edit Schedule details, scroll down to where the date(s) and time(s) are displayed. You will be able to edit just the time or the date and the time. 
  12. To edit both the date and time follow steps 13 through 16. To edit only the time, follow steps 17 through 18.
  13. Click on the "garbage can icon" to remove the date and time details. 
  14. You will need to scroll back up to the Start Date REQUIRED, Click in the "text box" and enter the new date.
  15. You are able to edit a Start Time and End Time, these are not required. Note: If you have an End Time, you must enter a Start Time.
  16. Click in Add Above to Schedule to have the new date and time entered.
  17. If you Click on the "pencil icon" below the "Confirmed Dates", this is where you can edit only the Start Time and End Time. These are not required so you may not need to edit these. Click in the gray "text box" with the incorrect "start" time. Type over with the correct Start Time time.
  18. Click in the gray "text box" with the incorrect "end" time. Type over with the correct End Time"
  19. Click Update.
  20. To edit Location details, Click in the "text box" Experience, select the drop down option.
  21. To edit the Place, the current "Place" has an "X" at the end. Click the "X" to remove the place. You will now see the Place "text box". Click in the "text box" to enter the new place name. This is not required.
  22. To edit the Room, the current "Room" has an "X" at the end. Click the "X" to remove the room. You will now see the Room "text box". Click in the "text box" to enter the new room details. This is not required.
  23. To edit the Address, the current "Address" has an "X" at the end. Click to "X" to remove the address. You will now see the Address "text box". Click in the "text box" to enter the new address name. This is not required.
  24. To edit  Additional Details, Click in the "text box" Event Website to type in the new website address.
  25. To edit the Photo, Click on the "garbage can" icon in the "text box" to remove the photo. There are three ways to change the photo. 
  26. Click on the word Drop in the the "text box" to be able to drop a photo off your device.
  27. Click on the word Upload in the "text box" to upload the new photo off your device.
  28. Click on the word Choose in the "text box" to select a photo that is offered from this site. 
  29. Note: If no photo is added, one will randomly be chosen for your event. 
  30. To edit the Filters, first remove any filters you do not want. Click on the "X" at the end of the filter description you do not want. 
  31. To add new filters, Click in the "text box" , select the filters you want from the drop down.
  32. Once all edits have been made, Click on Save Pending  Event

Edits will cause the event to be back in the Pending Approval status. It may take up to 24 hours to have an Admin approve the edits. 

The owner will receive an email when the Admin has approved the edits for the event.
