Server hosting
This document will provide the information needed in requesting a hosted server from the LIT department.
LIT provides a server hosting service for departmental needs. These servers reside in the University’s Datacenter and will be monitored around the clock. We will perform all backups, coordinate the resolution of hardware or software problems, and if agreed upon can manage the upgrades to operating systems and/or applications. We now provide hosting for departmental servers that can also be fully managed by a departmental designee.
These hosted servers are billed back annually. the rates for the servers are below.

| Base server with 1Gb of RAM and storage for the operating system. Also included are the OS licensing an SSL certificate and backup. | $400 |
| Additional RAM in 1Gb increments | $50 |
| Additional Storage per 1Gb. Storage will be charged annually increases after billing will not be charged until the next billing cycle. Decreases in storage must be negotiated. | $2 |
