Respondus Lockdown Browser (for students)

Respondus Lockdown Browser

Instructors occasionally request that students take tests and quizzes from a browser called Respondus that must be installed by the student. The link to install Respondus is in the right-nav of the student's Learn@UW-Stout home screen.

When students use the LockDown Browser to access a quiz, they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. Once a quiz is started, students are locked into it until it's submitted for grading.

Learning Technology Services maintains the following page for more information: http://www.uwstout.edu/lit/learn/students.cfm#iTab_2

Computer requirements for installations of Respondus LockDown Browser (from the Respondus Knowledgbase)

Respondus Lockdown browser is different from Respondus 4.0, a resource available to faculty.
