Department checklist
Weeks Prior (Supervisor)
- Obtain computer (most student machines are cascades and assigned to the student's supervisor in the departmental inventory)
- Consider phone needs; if a new line is needed Request a New Phone Line Activation
- Request StoutFS access (if necessary; fees apply)
- Request access to PeopleSoft/AccessStout resources (if necessary)
- Request access to UWBI (if necessary)
- Request access to ImageNow resources (if necessary)
- Add to any email distribution lists (if necessary)
- Grant calendar access (if necessary)
- Request Administrator Account access to the workstation for student (if necessary) *Supervisor should request this access for a student worker
Start
- Request scanner setup (if necessary)
- Install printers
Why so many "if necessary"? None of these suggested actions is a requirement of student employment; these steps are just to serve as reminders of common needs.
