Blackboard Collaborate Ultra: Entering a Session as a Participant
This article explains how to enter a Blackboard Collaborate Ultra session as a participant.
Chrome is the preferred browser for use with Blackboard Collaborate Ultra as it provides the fullest functionality with the tools.
To get started, launch your Chrome browser.
Open the Canvas course for the class that you need to access Collaborate. On the Navigation bar on the left side of the screen, click on the Collaborate Ultra tab.
After you click on Collaborate Ultra, a page listing all of your sessions should appear. Click on the name of the session you wish to enter.
After you click on the name of the session, the Join session screen will open. Click on the Join session button to enter the session.
You may get a message about setting up your microphone and camera. If you get this message, you should click on the Yes button to set up your camera and microphone. If you miss this message or it does not appear, you can still set up your microphone and camera.
You may also get messages about sharing or giving access to your camera and microphone. In order to use your camera and microphone in a session, you must allow Collaborate Ultra to use your camera and microphone.
If you are the first person to enter the session, you will see a message that you are the only one in the room.
