Using the insert stuff button in Learn@UW-Stout to embed codes in discussion posts or content files.
Inserting a Video Embed Code into a Module
Go to the content tab in Learn@UW-Stout.
Click on the module that you would like the content to be in.
Click on the New button, a drop down will appear. Click on Create a File.

A new window will appear, fill out the title and add whatever content you would like to be included around the video.

Get the Embed Code
Now we must get the embed code to insert into our new document. We are going to use a video example from the library of videos available to instructors and students, but using embed codes from youtube is a very similar process.
In the library menu off of the Learn@UW-Stout website, click on Streaming Video.

A new window will appear with multiple different sites that have available videos. For this example we are going to use films on demand.

Find the desired video you would like to embed into your new file.

Click on the Share button. A new menu will open with the embed code that you can highlight and copy.

Take the embed code and move back to Learn@UW-Stout to the new file you have created.
Click on the Insert Stuff button.

A new menu will appear with many options, click Enter Embed Code.

Paste the code into the new box.

Click Next.
Click Insert to insert the video into the document.
The video may not show up right away, click Publish to see the video.

You have successfully embedded a video into your new file.
