Learn@UW-Stout -- Grade Schemes

Creating grading schemes is useful for instructors when they grade classes with different standards than the usual grade scale.

New Grade Scheme

Go to the Gradebook and click on the Schemes option in the top grade menu.

Click on the New Scheme button.

Type in the desired Name for the New Scheme.

Define in the grade Ranges you want. For this example we are going to use generic letter grades. 
Type in the symbol you would like to show, (ie. A, excellent, 4.0)

Type the lowest grade to include in the rage in the Start % column. Grade schemes always go from lowest to highest.

Assigned Value % only needs to be filled in if you plan on using the grade scheme with a select box grade item type.

Select the color you would like the grade to be associated with in the Color column.

To add additional ranges select add ranges.

Then you have a completed Grade Scheme.
