This article explains how to view reports from Blackboard Collaborate Ultra sessions.

Note: Google Chrome is the recommended browser for use with Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. If you do not have Chrome installed on your computer, you can get if from Software Center.

The reports feature in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra enables Moderators to see who was in a session and for how long.

To get started, enter your Learn@UW-Stout course and click on the Other Tools menu. In the dropdown menu that opens, choose "Collaborate: Ultra."

The sessions area of Collaborate Ultra will open in a new screen.

Find the session you want and then click on the circle with the three dots in it at the far right end of the window.

A dropdown menu will open. Click on the "View reports" option in the menu.

This will open the Reports area. There may be several reports depending on how much the session room has been used.

To view a report, find the session you want and click on the Clipboard button at the far right end of the screen. If you mouse over the clipboard button, it will display a popup that says, "View Report."

After you click the clipboard button, the report will open. The report will list the names of the participants, the time they joined the session, the time they left the session, and their total time in the session. The names in this report have been blurred by the author to protect the privacy of the attendees.

If you had many participants in your session, you may have multiple pages. You can move to other pages of your report by using the page selector tool at the bottom center of the report view.

In some cases, you may be interested in finding a specific person within the report. To do this, click on the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. If you mouse over the magnifying glass, it will display a popup that says, "Search Report."

After you click on the magnifying glass a text entry window will open for you to type in the name of the participant you are looking for.

The name you are looking for, if it is in the list, will appear below the search box. You can then see that participant's join time, exit time, and time in session.

When you are done with the search, you can click on the close button to the far right of the search box.

If you would like a printable version of the report, go to the left hand side of the screen and click on the word "Printable" in the Export Report area.

When you are finished with the report, you can close it by clicking the "X" in the upper left-hand corner of the report window.

Things to keep in mind:
  • A particular session may have multiple reports if it has been used multiple times.
  • When searching for a participant, try both the first name and last name.
  • The report may be useful if you are trying to determine the attendance and length of attendance for your sessions.
