KeyServer: Apple connected via VPN but will not launch software from off campus
KeyServer error even after connecting to VPN on a Mac may mean that the VPN settings are incompatible with the version of OS X on the device
NOTE: KeyServer is only found on laptops year 2016 or older. Any re-imaged laptop will not have KeyServer and can instead use VPN to connect.
If after connecting to the campus via VPN and verifying the KeyServer address, a software application still will not launch, please delete the existing connection and re-add the VPN profile to ensure the newest VPN settings are available.
Error: "A connection to a network KeyServer could not be established. Open KeyAccess and verify the KeyServer logon information."
To delete the existing VPN profile:
- Open System Preferences
- Select Network
- Highlight the existing Stout VPN profile
- Click "-" (the minus sign)
- Enter password, if prompted
