FileZilla Download Guide

Downloading FileZilla, the free FTP solution

If the intent of the software is just transferring files, download the FileZilla Client. (Students)
A window will prompt you with which edition of FileZilla Client you would like to download. Choose the regular FileZilla.
FileZilla will then ask which version you would like to download. Choose whichever version is supported by your operating system.
Selecting the Download FileZilla Client will start an automatic download of FileZilla...exe file.
Open the exe file. It may ask you if FileZilla can make changes to your computer, select yes to continue the installation.
Select "I Agree" on the License Agreement to continue the installation.
The setup will then ask you if you want an optional offer, select no and click next.
FireZilla will then ask if you want to make this software available to all users or just yourself. Choose whichever option you want and click next.
FireZilla will then ask you which features of FileZilla you want to install. Select the desired components, or leave the defaulted selections, and click next.
Choose the install location by selecting browse or keep the default option and select next.
Choose a start menu folder, check the do not create shortcuts option or leave the default option, select Install.
FileZilla will now complete the download. You can either start FileZilla now or not, depending on if you leave the option to open it after selecting finish, or not.
