Hyperion Printing Error
Some users printing from Hyperion receive an error: "An unknown error has occurred. Please save your document and restart your application." or "Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The Export process will enable a user to create a PDF file that can then be printed for any portrait oriented documents. Unfortunately this will not work for landscape-oriented documents; landscape-oriented documents can be exported the Excel format (*.xls) for printing.
Export to PDF from Hyperion (perfect for printing student work auths)
- Process the desired report
- In the preview window, click File -> Export -> Section...
- Click the "Save as type:" drop-down and select PDF (*.pdf)
- Choose a file location and click "Save". The PDF can then be retrieved from that location and opened with Adobe Acrobat to print.
Printing Other Types of Reports
Save as type Pros Cons Microsoft Office 2000 HTML One file, somewhat nicely formatted, can change print settings Paging may be different, missing header MHTML One file, somewhat nicely formatted, can change print settings Paging may be different, missing header Excel All the data is there Formatting isn’t as nice, may need to change page/font/margin/columns in Excel to print it the way you want; also missing header JPEG Keeps formatting as seen in Hyperion Exported as one file per page, you would need to print each page/file separately
