Connecting a laptop using the HDMI cable
A Quick guide to connect your laptop to the teacher station using the HDMI cable using either the MP-B10 or Touchscreen Control Panel (TSW-1052)
Using MP-B10 panel
- Turn on the projector and ensure the Laptop\HDMI button is illuminated. If it is not, press it.
- Plug in cable using the corresponding adapter that fits your device.
Generally, Windows machines uses DisplayPort and Macs uses USB-C, Thunderbolt, or Mini DisplayPort. - Make sure the selected adapter is the actually plugged into the HDMI cable.
- If there is no image projected, ensure that you are in duplicate or extend mode on your laptop. To check this, press the Windows logo key and P.
There are four modes within this screen:
- PC screen only: no output to the projector.
- Duplicate: What is seen on your laptop will be seen on the screen.
- Extend: The projected screen will act as an additional monitor. You can move content between the two.
- Second screen only: Only the projected screen will appear. Your laptop will show no output.
Once you are done using the station, please shut down the system by pressing "All Systems Off". Simply disconnecting your laptop does not shut it off.
Using the Touchscreen Control Panel (TSW-1052):Turn on the system by pressing anywhere on the screen.
Select the laptop icon on one or both of the projectors.
NOTE: If there are two screens in the room, you can have you laptop on one projector while sharing alternative content (AirMedia, BluRay, Doc Camera) on the other screen.
Ensure show image is selected and highlighted in blue.
- If you are using audio, ensure the laptop button is highlighted in blue.
