2-Step: (New) Enabling "Remember me for 12 hours"
How to enable Duo 2-Step to "Remember me for 12 hours". When enabling "Remember me for 12 hours", there are two situations you may run into. These are those who have enabled an automatic push and those who have not. We will explore both of these situations below:
- Sign in as usual with the UW-Stout Identity Provider.
- Check the Remember me box for Duo to remember your authentication for 12 hours.
- Enter your passcode under Other options, if using a FOB, or authenticate as normal on your mobile by verifying the login request.
- Choose Yes, this is my device to create a trusted device session that will let you skip Duo two-factor authentication when you log in again with the same browser and device until that remembered device session expires.
Remember:
- Enabling this feature will only keep you signed into this browser. If you open a different browser or use a different device, you will be asked to verify your device again.
- Shutting down your computer can end your Duo session and may require you to verify again.
