Epson BrightLink: Easy Interactive Tools

The distinguishing functionality of the Brightlink that sets it apart from a typical classroom projection system is the interactivity. Epson has a built in application called Easy Interactive Tools that is installed on all Brightlink systems on campus.

Easy Interactive Tools will automatically open when the board is turned on, however, the toolbars may not be visible until you begin interacting with the board using the pens. There are two toolbars that are enabled through the Easy Interactive Tools: the Command Toolbar and the Drawing Toolbar.

Command Toolbar

The Command Toolbar is located on either the top or bottom of the screen. This toolbar gives you the ability to navigate back to the homescreen, create a new page, move between pages, and adjust the toolbar settings. Due to the shared computer settings, some of the functionality of the Command Toolbar has been disabled including the ability to save the markups made using the Drawing Toolbar.

Drawing Toolbar

The Drawing Toolbar is located on the left or right side of the screen. This toolbar gives you the ability to switch between the PC and Whiteboard mode, switch between Interactive and Annotative mode, insert shapes and text boxes, access the highlighter and pen tools, and clear annotations using the eraser. All of this is best accessed using the Interactive Pens.
