Active Stout users have access to OneDrive as part of Office365 for Education. OneDrive is a cloud-based solution that allows users to access files from anywhere (even mobile devices). Users have 1 TB of storage available while actively attending or employed at Stout. OneDrive can be used in the following ways:

1. OneDrive for Business: Back up files to OneDrive for Education via browser
   
2. Sync OneDrive for Education (Business) on a Windows-based computer

Sync OneDrive with Computer

Sync OneDrive for Education (Business) to your computer and then access your files from File Explorer instead of from a web browser. All updates sync to OneDrive for Business/Education whenever youre online. 2. From the App Launcher (Office 365) select OneDrive
   
   
   
   
3. Click the Sync button
   
   
   
   
4. At the prompt, click "Sync Now" to start the sync app wizard. The wizard automatically fills in the name and web address of your OneDrive.
   
   
5. Select Sync Now in the wizard to start syncing. You can click "Show my files" in the wizard to open your OneDrive folder in File Explorer. The folder is listed in your Favorites as OneDrive - University of Wisconsin-Stout.
   
   
6. Once Sync is set up you can "Save As" directly to OneDrive
   
    
   
   or drag folders from your hard drive or other media to OneDrive in File Explorer; Once sync is set up a new shortcut will appear in the Favorites of File Explorer (My Computer).
     

Now you can easily create folders and drag and drop files. Note that collaborative activities (like sharing) must be performed from the Web App.

Make sure your backup is working by occasionally checking your files using a web browser.
