This service provides shared cloud based storage for campus users

Description:  OneDrive for Business is a file storage and file sharing service that is part of UW-Stout campus license subscription hosted by Microsoft for current faculty, staff and students. With OneDrive for Business, you can store files in the cloud, access them from any device and securely share them with others at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

  • Store unlimited data with encrypted cloud storage
  • Sync files across devices to access them anywhere, anytime, both online and offline
  • Share files with colleagues and easily who can see and edit each file
  • View or revert to previous versions as needed with version control

Getting Help:  A tutorial on how to login and access OneDrive for Business from the web.  Microsoft has prepared training videos and instructions to help users learn how to store, share and sync files.  Below are many knowledgebase articles and tutorials that will help you learn how to use OneDrive for Business and if you need more assistance please create a help desk ticket, call help desk or stop at help desk in Millennium Hall for assistance.

Cost:  There is no direct cost associated to the college, department, or end user.

Availability:  24/7/365; The email and calendaring service are part of a license subscription that UW-Stout is subscribed to and is hosted by Microsoft.   Microsoft Service Continuity Provisions enable Office 365 to recover quickly from unexpected outages.  Planned outages or downtimes are planned during non-peak hours by Microsoft.  This service is only available to current faculty, staff and students.

Policy:  OneDrive for Business is the only supported cloud service.

Service Level Expectation:  OneDrive for Business is a file storage system hosted by Microsoft that strives for 100% uptime. Service tickets submitted to UW-Stout Help Desk for setup, login, and assistance with use OneDrive for Business will be responded to within 48 hours.
