Reimage of Faculty or Staff Computer: Getting Ready

Faculty and staff can request a reimage to upgrade to a new operating system or to fix problems


Faculty and staff can request their own reimage. Some computers may not meet minimum hardware requirements. There is no charge for a reimage. All reimages of a computer will be done at the Technology Desk on 1st floor Sorensen Hall.

End-user Image Preparation Process

  • Back up all files and data (Onedrive or External Storage) 
  • Export or Sync Browser Bookmarks. 
  • Back up the ImageNow inscan.xml file if applicable. 
  • Identify and document any software applications that will need to be reinstalled after the reimage. 
  • Plan for at least one full business day without the computer.

⚠️Files stored locally on the computer that are not backed up will permanently lost during the reimage process. ️
