Outlook - Creating a Personal Bookings Page
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and using the Microsoft Bookings app within Outlook. It walks users through accessing the app, adding it to Outlook, creating and customizing a personal bookings page, and sharing it with others.
Step 1: Open the Outlook App
- Open your Outlook app.
- In the top right corner, click on the All Apps square icon.
- From the drop down menu, select Add Apps.
Step 2: Add the Bookings App
- You’ll be taken to the More Apps page.
- Use the search bar on the left side to search for “Bookings”.
- Press Enter to search.
Once the Bookings app appears, click on it and then click Add.
- Once Bookings is added, a notification will appear.
- Click OK and close the More Apps menu to return to your Outlook app.
Step 4: Open the Bookings App
- On the left-hand side of the Outlook app, you'll see a vertical row of icons.
- Click the Square Apps Icon again.
- You may need to scroll down to find the Bookings icon.
- Click the Bookings icon to open the Bookings page.
Step 5: Create Your Bookings Page
- Click Create Meeting Type to start customizing your Bookings page.
Step 6: Customize Your Bookings Page
You can now personalize your bookings page:
- Name your meeting type.
- Add a description.
- Set the location of your meeting.
- Choose the duration of each meeting.
- Decide if the page should be public or private (a private link is recommended for sharing in your Outlook signature).
Step 7: Save and Share Your Bookings Page
- Click Save once you’ve finished customizing.
- Return to the main Bookings page.
- Click the Share icon to open a menu.
- Copy the link to your bookings page to:
- Add it to your Outlook email signature.
- Share it directly with others.
Step 8: Test Your Bookings Page
- Paste the link into another browser or open it in an Incognito/InPrivate window to test how it works for others.
*Important Note*
Your Bookings page syncs with your Outlook calendar:
- Any existing events on your Outlook calendar will block availability on the Bookings page.
