Telephone/voice communications - Service description

This service provides public switched telephone network(PSTN) connectivity to campus users.

Description:

This service provides voice communication for the campus.  This includes:

  • Traditional telephones provided through Microsoft Teams
  • Fax lines
  • Emergency phones for elevators
  • Cellular phone services

Getting Help:

To request a phone line or for support for all services including cellular create a ticket with the technology helpdesk. 

To request new cellular service please complete the "Wireless Handheld Voice and Data Services and Equipment Authorization Form" when completed Infrastructure Services will reach out to complete the purchase of the phone service.

Cost:

Expenses related to the phone service will be charged back to the department.

Availability:

The telephone systems are available 24/7/365.

The phone systems hosted by telecommunications and networking will strive for the highest uptime possible.
