When and how to return an eStout laptop
When should I return my laptop?
The short answer: If you are not enrolled for the next semester (excluding WinTerm or summer), the laptop is due to be returned the last day of your last enrolled semester.
The laptop computer and accessories must be returned when a student does not maintain continuous enrollment of at least one qualifying undergraduate credit at UW-Stout, graduates, withdraws, is dismissed from the University, or upon any other notification to turn in the computer. Notifications to return laptops are sent by Student Business Services. In the summer and over WinTerm, a student may retain their assigned laptop if they are enrolled for a minimum of one qualifying UW-Stout undergraduate credit for the following term. Questions of eligibility should be directed to Student Business Services.
Where do I return it?
The laptop computer and accessories must be returned to the Technology Help Desk (109 Sorensen Hall) or another location designated by the University. Standard Technology Help Desk Hours apply.
What do I need to return with my laptop?
Backpacks do not need to be returned. All other accessories must be returned and differ by model.
