Access Stout: Getting Access

The following will provide the information required to gain access to AccessStout.
Applicants
Once you apply to UW-Stout, you receive a Stout email account. Your Stout email and password will log you in to AccessStout . If you are having issues getting logged into your Stout email account or AccessStout, please go to https://password.uwstout.edu/ or contact the Technology Help Desk at 715-232-5000.
Students
Your Stout email and password will log you in to AccessStout . If you are having issues getting logged into your Stout email account or AccessStout, please go to https://password.uwstout.edu/ or contact the Technology Help Desk at 715-232-5000.
Staff/faculty
Your Stout email and password, your campus credentials, will log you in to AccessStout. If you are unable to login using your Stout email credentials, it may because you do not have an AccessStout account. New teaching faculty and staff have a request for access to the faculty center initiated for them once their Stout email account has been created. Others can request access to AccessStout using the IT Authorization Request System. The online security request system allows users to submit requests for access, monitor their progress towards completion, and track acceptance of Stout's appropriate data use agreement. Users login to Peoplesoft Campus Solutions, the security request system, and the data use agreement site using your Stout email username and password.
All Peoplesoft Campus Solutions users are required to electronically sign Stout's appropriate data use statement here: https://www2.uwstout.edu/datause (Note: your network user name and password are required to login to this site) so that we have an electronic record of that in our security request system database. New users must complete the data use agreement before access will be granted.

Each request for access to the Peoplesoft Campus Solutions system must be approved by the individual's supervisor and by the module owner for the access being requested:
  • AD/Admissions - Julie Pichler
  • CC/Campus Community - Eric Konsela
  • FA/Financial Aid - Sally Bosshart
  • SF/Student Financials - Kathy Retz, Alyssa Peterson
  • SR/Student Records - Josh Lind
  • TC/Transfer Credit - Linda Young
The online security request system can be accessed here: https://itauthorization.uwstout.edu/. If you have any questions regarding what access to request, please contact the appropriate module owner via email, explain what you need to do in your job, or that you need access like so-and-so, and they can help you submit your security request.

When a request for access is initiated, the request user's supervisor is notified via email and the request user receives an email notification to accept the data use agreement (the data use agreement notification is only sent to request users who have not already completed it). Once the supervisor approves the request, the module owner is notified via email that a request is ready for review. After the module owner approves a request, the security administrator is notified via email that a request is ready for implementation. When the security administrator completes a request, the request user, supervisor, and module owner are notified via an email from "pros@uwstout.edu". The request completion email contains links to our test and production/live Access Stout environments.
