2-Step for All Students
Security is a top priority at UW Stout and all students are required to use Multi-Factor Authentication. Multi-Factor Authentication, also known as 2-Step Authentication enhances the security of your account by using a secondary device to verify your identity when logging into many of our Stout accounts. This prevents anyone but you from accessing your account, even if they know your password.
LIT is currently working to move our Multi Factor Authentication tool from DUO to Microsoft Authenticator. Currently all Microsoft Authenticator is being used for all Microsoft 365 web based tools. Approximately 150 applications will be moved to Authenticator over the next few months, so current students will temporarily be using both DUO and Authenticator until all applications have been transitioned to Authenticator.
New Students: Enroll Early!!
