Solidworks Installation
Installation Directions:
eStout Students (Undergraduate students who receive a laptop through the eStout Laptop Program)
Stout Online Students (Undergraduate and graduate students who are in an online program using personal devices)

eStout Students
SolidWorks is available for eStout students through the Company Portal app for HP laptops. This is a multi-step process:
1. Open the Company Portal Application.
2. Search for Solidworks 2026.
3. Click Install on Solidworks. It will download and the install. This process can take up to 60 minutes.
4. Wait for SolidWorks to complete install. Do not shut off your computer during this process.
Stout Online Students
Stout Online students who need SolidWorks for their coursework can download the installer directly from SolidWorks. Note: You will need to request a license key from your instructor.
The current version of SolidWorks used on campus is Solidworks 2026. We encourage all students to download the matching version.
Faculty and Staff
SolidWorks can be downloaded and installed from the Company Portal. Computers that already have a previous version installed should have their computer reimaged prior to installing the new version. Please back up files prior to requesting a reimage.
