LinkedIn Learning in Canvas: Embedding Content using the Rich Content Editor

You can embed LinkedIn Learning content using the Rich Content Editor in Canvas.

The option to embed LinkedIn Learning content in the body of an assignment, discussion, page, etc. is available wherever you see the Rich Content Editor. Note: This only embeds the content. It does not track the completion of the course or video.

  1. In the drop-down menu next to Apps, select View All. (You will only need to do this the first time. LinkedIn Learning will be listed in the drop down in the future)

  8. If creating an assignment, you will need to select the submission type for this assignment. Using the embedding option does not track their completion. Students will not automatically receive points in the Canvas Gradebook, by completing the embedded LinkedIn Learning Content.
  9. Click either Save or Save and Publish depending on whether or not you are ready to make the content available to students.
