What is Perceptive Content?
Perceptive Content (aka ImageNow) is an electronic file system with workflow capabilities. Perceptive is used extensively across campus in place of paper for secure document storage, faster retrieval, and dissemination.

There is a downloadable "desktop" version of Perceptive and a no-installation-needed web version, called Perceptive Experience. The web version meets the needs of most campus users. Accessing Perceptive Content
- Due to the quantity and sensitive nature of information stored in Perceptive, you (or your supervisor) usually need to request access be given to you.

Basic Concepts
- Finding documents and running searches: Perceptive Content: Viewing and Searching for Documents
- As a Perceptive user, you will receive email notifications when there are documents awaiting your review. Read about the emails from Perceptive Content here:Perceptive Content: Email Notification
- Most documents that require your review will ask for your signature. In Perceptive, we have a basic Signature Stamp that most of campus uses.

- Once you have approved or reviewed a document, you will need to route it, so that it can continue on its path. There are several routing options: Perceptive Content: Routing Options Defined (uwstout.edu)
Advanced Concepts
- If you need to upload documents to ImageNow (also called printing documents in), you can start with these steps: Perceptive Content: Uploading/Printing Documents to the Server
- Workflow History allows you to see where a document has been and who touched it last.
