Perceptive Content: Capture Profile

Capture profiles are customizable printing options used when importing documents into Perceptive Content.

Key Features:

  • Users can create and manage multiple capture profiles based on their workflow requirements.
  • Each capture profile can be configured to route documents directly to a specific workflow queue.
  • Capture profiles can determine the Application Plan a document uses.
  • Capture profiles are stored locally on the user's computer under their login credentials.
    • They are stored in the “inscan.xml” file.
      • File location is:  C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\ImageNow
  • These profiles are backed up and can be restored if needed.

Important Notes:

  • When transitioning to a new computer, users must either recreate their capture profiles or request a backup copy from the Technology HelpDesk.
  • Users can also save their own backup copy by copying the "inscan.xml" file to a safe location like OneDrive.
  • For more information on restoring capture profiles from a backup see: Perceptive Content: Reinstalling Capture Profiles from a Backup
